Telescope & Astronomy Auction (Chamberlin Observatory, Denver, CO.)

Saturday Oct. 27th Denver Astronomical Society Annual Scholarship Fund Auction of telescopes, mounts, eyepieces, lenses, accessories, books, star charts and atlases and anything related to pursuit of amateur astronomy or astrophotography. DAS members will be auctioning their personal items, with a minimum of 10% proceds go to the DAS Scholarship Fund. Review items from 11am to 1pm. Auction starts at 1pm. Location: DU Historic Chamberlin Observatory 2930 E. Warren Ave. Denver, CO. 80210. DAS is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to sharing astronomy.

Minimum bids will be set by DAS on DAS items. DAS will be auctioning the following items;
 Losmandy G-11 Tripod
 JMI Wheeley-Bar Assembly (for the G-11 mount and tripod)
 Celestron C-5 (5-inch SCT telescope) with CG-3 German equatorial mount, case and accessories, in like-new condition.
 Celestron 8-inch SCT telescope--early or mid- 80s vintage classic orange tube with wedge, tripod and trunk.
 Coulter Odyssey 8-inch "Red Tube" Dob- sonian telescope in very good condition, with accessories.
Small Meade German equatorial mount with dual axis drive motors (missing hand control and power supply)
Other miscellaneous itms.

Front-range/Colorado astronomers are welcome to bring their stuff or bid., items limited to astronomy and ATM; no tv's, electronic junk or 'trashco' scopes please. All items must be removed at end of auction.
