Finally got out. One of those times you setup, point the scope at Jupiter, install the camera, and catch the best seeing of the night in your first two runs.
Went rapidly downhill from here.
10" F4.7 OTA
Flea3
TV5XPM + Spacers
~800 / 1000 frames / channel.
R6 PS

Great shot!
It is probably a trick of the memory, but it seems to me I usually either have my best seeing at the start or at the end. I can't recall ever sitting down to mediocre seeing, have it get better and then get worse.

Yes, it seems to me it is always best at the beginning or end as well. Last night after I got two or three good runs and it started to go downhill, I just packed it in. Forecast tonight is calling for 4/5 - 5/5 seeing. Going to setup and see if it comes through.

Yes, that would be fantastic eh? When I find myself starting out with bad seeing, I always wonder how many minutes ago I just missed that pocket of perfect seeing.... If nobody is around to image through it, is it really there?
