Just a pair of run of the mill WO's binos. With a cheap pair of Owl plossls inserted at the business end of a regular old refractor. Mike

Fantastic Mike! Here's my KO binos.. I'm thinking about upgrading to Denks soon, even though the KO's work great, I want a 2" nosepiece, and more clear aperture

Hi James,
The VERNONscope viewer has a 1.25" nosepiece and collet eyepiece holders, which hold both 1.25" standard, and Questar threaded eyepieces.

Mike, are these the current Vernonscope binos? There's no picture on their website and I always wondered what the latest binos looked like...

Here's my BV setup that I use for lunar and planetary. In addition to the BV I have pairs of Plossls in 25mm, 20mm, 15mm and 12mm. I also use the element from a GSO 2x barlow, which gives me about 3x in the BV. I not only use the BV in my 6" f/8 for lunar and planetary, but also in my AT72ED with the 25mm Plossls for 34x views of star fields, open clusters, etc. Like Tony the Tiger says, "THEY'RE GRRRRREAT!"
ADDED: I used the BV this morning in my AT72ED with the 12mm Plossls and the GSO barlow to observe Jupiter before work. I was very impressed with the sharp and detailed views of this grab-n-go setup. I'll be spending more mornings sipping my coffee and observing.

Mark
Hi Mark,
I purchased them over a year ago. If I recall correctly, Don had a run of about fifty of made to his specs; I was fortunate to purchase one of the last few left of the batch. I don't know about current production. Give Don a phone call rather than sending an e-mail, he will give you an update on his products, and availability; he's also a great guy to talk to.

Wow. Paul, I'd love to hear what it's like to binoview with those ZAO-34s and the Mark V. That's a rare experience most of us on here will never have, no matter how many star parties we go to.

Denk II's and powerswitch with the best binoviewing eyepieces on the planet, Brandons! Why? Because they are ultra light weight, not to mention the views they provide.
