Jupiter 29OCT12, GRS from AZ

Since there was going to be a GRS transit tonight I decided to see what I could pull in with my C6SGT. The CSC called for good seeing and the jet stream data showed very slow upper level winds which gave me hope for the night. Both images were acquired with my DBK618 color camera attached to a 2x barlow, images have been resized 1.5x in PS:

Jupiter and Io

I think with my smaller aperture and a color camera this is probably about as good as it's going to get until opposition, and since I'll be moving house over the next couple of weeks it will probably be that long before I get another opportunity. Thanks for looking!

Nice work Kevin! You might play a little more with wavelets. I suspect one of the higher layers was set too high magnifying that limb arc on the left side. Still a great image for your scope!
