Jupiter 2012/10/31, good seeing
      #5497146 - 10/31/12 12:29 AM

This night the seeing was nice and steady, I managed to use three cameras with my Meade LX200R 10". These are FD28 with a 2x barlow.

Point Grey Firefly (IMX035 bayer color) reduced to 80%

Basler ACE640

IDS UEye Ruby

One has to ask Flava, which of the three do you prefer & why ?

Thank you all!

I prefer the IDS UEye result. Generally I get slightly better results with it on Jupiter compared to ICX618 (I have the Basler). But they are close.

Here is a softer processing of the IDS capture, LRGB versus RGB.

I'd like to know where you are located so I can move in next door and have the same seeing.

That is excellent detail with a 10" scope!

Well I'm in Paris suburbs in France, be sure you like crowded urban areas and traffic jams before moving here
The light polution is bad, but the seeing is often stable. works fine for planetary observing and imaging.
