Quite surprised to see subtle colors at the moon's edge. Is it just coincidence that the webcam without the IR-cut shifted the reds and the blues to make the hills look brownish and the mare tint blue with the dim? Fog was rolling in... perhaps atmosphere issues. but at least on this image, the moon looked a bit more habitable. Post Extras:       Eddgie Postmaster Reged: 02/01/06 Re: Moon has color. I think what you have captured though is optics induced. Possibly atmospheric though. As you go towards the limb, the reflectance is reduced, and if there is a haze, it will appear more apparent. The brighter part of the moon simply overwhelms it, but as you move into areas of less and less illunmination, if there is hase in the atmoshpere, it can show up. Anyway, I doubt that this was the moon's coloration. And the more I consider it, the more I think it was atmospheric.
