Lots of stuff happening as David posted previously. This is a quick process, I did everything at 1X and so my wavelets might not be optimal. Also no noise control was performed so if it looks a little grainy thats why.
Mostly I had fun keeping all this on the chip at this focal length, even with good polar alignment it was a game of slow ping pong!
Seeing was fair to good for this image. It improved later as I hopefully will find out before it cratered big time when I finished. Actually the image got so bad I decided to go to bed!
Captured with a Flea3 using FireCapture 2.1. Processed with AS2! and R6, color image combined and aligned in MaximDL.
Comments or questions welcome. Thanks for looking!

Nice shot Glenn. Looks like we were out at the same time and similar conditions.

Lovely Glenn - just lovely..!
And what a great photogenic alingement of Jove and those moons and shadow also.....and for me it demonstrates clearly the answer to my puzzlement about how Ganymede came "out" of eclipse as it approached Jupiter in my images the other night!
Even with my propensity to waffle I won't attempt to articulate said - suffice to say it graphically demonstrates it..!

Wow Glenn great capture! You caught a unique Jupiter situation nicely! I was out too and again if mine even comes close to your result I'll be happy.

Thanks guys!
Paul, I'll be posting some later data that shows the dark spot in the wake - but its not as dark as a few rotations ago.

Glenn,
Excellent! Seeing was pretty good that morning. I have several runs to process, shot about an hour after yours.

Thanks Paul!
Heres an image at the time seeing had gotten as good as it was going to get, at least for me. It went downhill fast after this.

Thanks Allesandro and Trevor!
Now that I look at it again it seems too blue - or maybe my eyes or monitor have fooled me. I'm getting ready to post an image from the night before in better seeing and I think the color is better.

Super image! Very very jealous of these great images coming out of the states but I'm hopeful our UK weather will cooperate before the year is out lol

Those sure are great shots Glenn! That c14 sure does capture the details with that camera. I see you have that dark shadow looking stuff near that one band as well. Has anyone heard what might be causing that and the mini me red spot? Haven't done any planet imaging in a while and might have missed those comments earlier I suppose.
