Proper Sensuality

Linda and I observed the crescent moon a couple weeks ago. It was the same couple days that the fall colors peaked in the Blue Ridge mountains. We sketched the moon, but then went back to add the colors we saw just before sunset the same evening we observed. Hope you enjoy the sketches and story on the blog (address below my signature). There is religious content.

It was a long time ago that I visited your blog... but there were again some marvelous sketches to see. What struck me always most is the personal "touch" of the drawings. They couldn't be by someone else. They are all yours! Keep up the good work.

Linda and I enjoyed the night, but as the sketches got touched some more and we shared some more, the whole observing period simply got better.

Ive never seen a more ridiculous post or link in the whole of the CN forums as this. I got as far as your first paragraph on the link and realized this was more about your views on morality, or its decay [in your eyes] than anything astronomical.

There is nothiung proper or appropirate about your post or link.

I'm an atheist and don't feel comfortable with the content of the blog either. But everybody is free to have his own opinion (about religion). I wouldn't call that 'ridiculous'.
This said I like the sketches! The style is very personal. I've seen a lot of beautiful art that was inspired by religion (and I've seen a lot of beautiful art that wasn't inspired by religion).
So my advice to you: don't read the blog next time and look only at the fine sketches... and skip the bible quotations too.

I loved your site. I am not into religion myself, but your drawings are very warm and I appreciate it that you make astronomy something all your own. That is what I encourage everyone I come across to do with our wonderful subject. Make it your own, and you will get the most from it. GW
