I've done a lot of imaging with an Olympus OM-1 on my Questar and had some satisfaction. When I changed to a Canon 20Da, I've not had the same result. Although the 20Da has a mirror lock-up, the shutter activation causes enough vibration to blur the image. Hopefully your set-up will work better. No mirror slap, much smaller camera footprint and weight. Or is there a way to mount the camera, if you don't mind me asking. I've the LX-5, and took some shots of the Venus transit through the eyepiece hand-held, but have never tried prime focus (by which, I assume you mean without the prism—since you are using an eyepiece). Could you share what is needed? I've also got a big, heavy DSLR, but don't want to go there on the Questar. Thanks, Brent PS: Here's one quick and dirty hand-held shot of the Venus Transit.
