Really nice looking telescope. I like the shrink sleeve idea. Need to look for some here.

What primary did you use?

I used a second hand 16" f/4.5 GSO primary. It has been Hilux recoated by Orion Optics UK. The secondary mirror is from Orion UK 75mm (18,5% obstruction) , also with Hilux coating.

Thanks guys!

Terry, the site where I took the pictures is here: http://goo.gl/maps/iOegE

It's great for looking at Moon eclipses etc. low in the east, but the location is pretty light polluted. It lies between 3 small city's. My main observing site is an half our drive to the east. Magnitude 6.5 skies, and 360 degrees onubstructed views (Holland is a very flat country!)

Stunning scope Roel. Nice details like the baffle for the primary and the collimation bolts on the front of the mirror box.

I've made my first sketch through this telescope: an Io transit low above the horizon: http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/5527348/page...
