and the second sketch:
5.Nov. 2012, 23:15 UT, 253/1502mm V 200x I 189° II 2°
The little white spot in the middle of the NEB was hard to see. For moments with stable seeing and V 215x I saw it.
Bye Christian

Two incredibly detailed sketches, Christian! I can't stop staring at the second sketch, with the beautiful festoon activity "dripping" from the NEB. It's also worth noting the comparison of two sketches created 75 minutes apart. Looks like you had a great session.

Very good. I have been observing it lately and that is how it is appearing. It looks just like it. Nice to have two to sense the rotation by. GW

Christian, yes, you have captured Jupiter nicely. There is so much to see near CM I 180! I like your subtle details in the southern temperate and polar regions. Nice observation.

Christian,
These are very fine sketches of Jupiter. It is great that you included every bit of detail you could see.

Christian,
Very nice work on the so called "boring" side of Jupiter. You have shown there is nothing boring about it--plenty to see and record. The NEB revival has plenty to offer.

Very true, Michael. Jupiter really doesn't have a boring side this season.
Christian, just looked at your sketches again. Wonderful, sir.
