A few North Americans may sight the one-day-old Moon on November 14. More will have luck the following evening. My article describing the waxing crescent Moon’s first appearance of the coming lunar month appears under the links for my preview graphics at www.CurtRenz.com/moon Photos and descriptions of the young Moon would be welcome additions to this thread. Please include your location, date, time and time zone. Clouds almost skunked me to the west. Real easy visual observation! Many more will see it tonight. Thanks for sharing your photo. I tried last night from Chicagoland, but the soup near the horizon was too thick. Used canon T3i and canon lens at 300mm, ISO 1600 and 2 seconds. As explained previously, on Wednesday after sunset the Moon was lost in the Chicagoland red horizon muck.
