With only a working sample of one, us, why is anyone saying what can or can not favor life at other solar systems? I guess the standard now is to publish your theory even if it stands on very thin legs.

Did anyone see "The Tree of Life" by Terence Malick? It has a long section of CGI work that is mesmerizing and thrilling, concerning nothing less that the origins of everything. A dinosaur discovers ethics. The implication is that ethical thoughts are the first independent thoughts about the "not I". Highly recommended film
