I posted some of this a little earlier under another blog. I have a 9.25 CPC on Celestron H/D wedge. Am looking at the S1 with filter switch; I see where for A/P it would be a big help from switching from viewing ( I have all 2" E/P) to a CCD or DSLR. To go from F10 to F6 or a 2X without removing things then being able to switch filters as well seems like a good deal. Was wondering on clearance on a CPC W/ wedge or any issues if any users have had. On their web page the S1 with filter switch looks pretty big. Any (recent) input from any users as to quality and use? Thank you

I use a filter switch/power switch all the time. It's actually more useful for visual than imaging, but it shouldn't cause any problems on a wedge. Hell, I use mine on an alt-az mounted NS11 GPS...

I'm using a CPC1100 with a S2 power switch diagonal, and I'm confident I could throw a crayford focuser on the back and still clear the base by a wide margin. I imagine the 9" is quite similar due to the length of the tube on the 9 relative to the 11.

I use a Denk R2 Dual PxS with a separate Denk Filter Switch at the same time on my CPC 8" and it works on or off the Celestron Pro Wedge. I use it on my refractors also, and both ways with Binoviewer and Single EP's, it has become my most used piece of astro gear. If you get it you'll really enjoy it. Best of Luck, Jeffrey G.

Hey Jeffery, ordered the S1with filter switch, should be here next week. I just mounted a Crayford focuser and am really pleased with it. Eliminates the mirror shift when focusing. hated having to undo EP accessories to change filters or Barlow, especially when trying to do AP. so this S1 and filter switch eliminates another step in hurdles to viewing and AP. Now if can just get good weather and work schedule to coincide all will be well. Next project is possible millicam.
