Greetings all,
Atatched is a drawing of Jupiter I made last night. Although we were forecast low cloud and fog (which did eventually turn up) it was clear for a short time and the seeing conditions were rather good. Main points were as follows
-The only part of the SSTB visible was a short section just above the two white ovals -STropB very prominent for a much of this longitude (it does fade again towards the end) -Some lovely structres present in the SEBz fol the GRS -EB prominent -No rifts detectred or suspected in this part of the NEB -NTropZ bright -NTB broad with darker sections present along the north and south borders -NPR may have contained some mottling-like structure.
At 2355UT low cloud and then thick fog descended and observations were stopped.
Best wishes, -Paul.

Paul, terrific sketch and report. I really like the way you've pulled off the look of the white ovals.

Paul, love those white patches in the eq zone. I am beginning to see a few of them, too. Well done.

Paul and Christian,
Excellent observations from both of you. Very interesting to see them in sequence and they agree nicely.
