Unfortunately, it was somewhat cloudy. At the critical time, clouds passed in front of the sun. While the image looked black, I increased the brightness a large amount until I could see it. Therefore the result is very noisy. Canon 40D, 6-inch Astrophysics refractor. I guess I should have removed the solar filter!
