Byers 6" drive used in a goto mount

I still have my 1970's 6" Byers Full Dia Drive and was wondering if it could be used
in some kind of GoTo tracking mount.

Certainly, if you run it with steppers or servo motors.

Hi Alan:

For a while, I had a Sidereal Technology goto kit installed in my mid-90s vintage Tak EM-500. The beauty of the system is that you can change the set the motor drive rates for multiple mounts in software. I'm sure other goto kits out there can do it as well.

I converted my 1990s AP 600QMD using steppers and the German Little foot controller.

Its the cheapest new conversion (cheaper than a SiTech or Gemini 2). You can get cheaper with a used Vixen Sky sensor 2k or the auto star drive off a Meade LXD55 or 75.
