Just pulled the trigger on a Lunt 80ed from Anacortes.I hope I made a good choice,I will get it right after thanksgiving

Found out some of the glass used is is bk7 does anyone know how color corrected it is?

Must be referring to the flint part of the doublet, as the ED glass in the crown part (maybe FK-61) provides the color correction.

Usually when a vendor does not advertise which type of ED glass they are using, they are using FK61 or FPL51 rather than the superior FPL53. So the color correction probably won't be perfect but an 80mm scope does not really demand FPL53 so it should be fine. Especially for a beginner. Some old timers get used to the ultra premium APO triplets and find they can't go back to ED doublets, but I doubt you will notice much false color.
