We're getting spoiled here in the Netherlands! Again we had good conditions. This image was made with an isolated 200 mm F/25 Schmidt-Cassegrain and a DBK21 camera. 2000 frames were used for this stack, and processing was done with Autostakkert!2, Registax for the wavelets and Photoshop for color tuning. Fire Capture was used for aquisition of the images(what a great software this is!!). Cheers, Rik

Rik, excellent shot! You have a really nice collection of scopes. I still think you need to get the 16" open truss back from Emil and starting imaging with it. Thanks for posting

Ha, Rik was too lazy to use the 16" Dobson telescope
He got the telescope back many months ago.

Yes Steve, I admitt.... It was just a few meters behind me when I took the image with the SCT 200..... I just wanted to experiment a bit with the DBK21 and debayering... Next time, OK?

Great image Rik, your SCT works like a charm!!! Did you debayer "on the fly" and what scheme did you use??

Good work Rik! It must be tough resisting using the big newt! Look forward to your images with that scope as well.

Well done Rik, always a pleasure to image in good seeing and yes, how lucky are we to have Torstens most excellent FireCapture along with Emil's super AS2.

Thank you all! Mert, I debayer 'on the fly' and always used Smooth Hue, but during this imaging session I found it a bit slower than Bilinear. So that will become my default setting... Glenn, hopefully we'll get another night like this one soon ;-)
