Ever noticed any issues with thermal expansion of the aluminium on hot summer days? Does the timber framework take up the movement/?

No - I'm in UK @ 51N so the occasional hot day is nice

My 14' diy aluminum dome actually keeps the interior of the obs cooler than the outside temperature.
