having fun tonight. Just caught M77. I'd say that was one of my toughest so far with my new "to me" 6" scope. I had never seen it in my 4" sct. Seemed small and ghostly at times. I came in to dress a little warmer and by the time I got back out, it was clouding over. I think there just low clouds, so I hope they pass soon.

Happy to hear you're enjoying your scope and congrats on your catch of M77. 6" Scopes are very capable, especially in dark skies. Hopefully you have easy enough access to a dark site. We went to Everglades National Park this Saturday. Almost left because of solid cloud cover, but it eventually cleared up. Had a great time observing M33.

Hey Ed, I think I just realized that even though I have looked through a scope for years, I have been missing a lot. Yes, I would love to get to a dark site but for now I'll enjoy what I have and learn as mush as I can. When I go to a dark site I'll be ready. Clear skies...
