Jupiter full sphere rotation new
      #5531353 - 11/20/12 11:55 PM

I was able to get enough images over the course of the past few days to cover the entire sphere of Jupiter before the cloud features change too much. 5 images were used. With that I made a full sphere rotation video. Feathering was getting tedious so I gave up after a couple of hours. The images weren't good enough at some longitudes but I'm pleased that I got good coverage. What I need to do is adjust my work schedule so that I can get in some all-nighters. Here's the link; I don't know how much Flikr compressed it but it started out as a 10 Meg wmv file (and before that an 800 Meg AVI).

Rolf,

Very nice. What equipment were you using?

Regards,
Brad

Thanks; I used a C14. The video does not have the resolution of the individual images.

Rolf, excellent animation! I am suprised you can make such a good one with only 5 files. Which program did you use? I've been using the Microsoft gif animator is it's very basic. Thanks for posting

Regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,

I used Winjupos to make the animation. It made an 800 meg AVI so I used a Pinnacle Studio to convert it to a 10 meg 720p wmv with slight resolution loss. Then Flikr made it into a flash video.
