Hello. I brought my telescope back "home" for the holiday. I am excited because there is a lot less light pollution here compared to where I recently moved to.
Anyway, The seeing wasn't great but I took this picture of Jupiter.
Seeing should be great tonight, so I plan to try some techniques that Maverick educated me on, not too long ago.
I'm looking for some feedback regarding my Jupiter picture. I could see Jupiter's banding in the eyepiece, but when I put the camera in, it wasn't as clear. I do not have 20-20 vision, so I did try adjusting the focus as well. Am I doing something wrong, or is that the nature of AP on celestial objects?
I use a sgt c6 and canon t2i 450D

More than anything, the pic's overexposed. Looks like if you backed off on the exposure time, you'd have a nice pic.

there was minor exposure time. it was 1/60 or something. I think the program ran some minor effects on it though that may give merit to your comment.

Cut down the ISO and or try with 1/80. Keep adjusting till you finally get an image which shows detail albeit slightly dimmed. You can process to brighten up the image later on.
