These four were my first attempts at astrophotography. I was using my Meade LX200 8" f/6.3 on the fork mount. I had to keep the exposure times as short as possible to avoid star trailing. And of course I knew nothing about image stacking at the time. All were taken with a Canon EOS D60 and were shot over 8 years ago.
From left to right, top to bottom:
M13
M3
M57
Comet Hale-Bopp, not a deep sky object, but probably my very first attempt at an astro photo.

My very first Photo! I used a Canon EOS REBEL T2i (unmodified) on a tripod, 23mm f/3.5 lens. This is a single shot 45 sec @ 1600ISO M31 is just left of center.

Finally got my Meade LT8 out with my Olympus E-PM1 and tmount.
Got this one of jupiter as a straight pic:

Then tried video with Registax and got this:

And finally got a 15s exposure at ISO 1000 of the Orion Nebula like this:

The 60 sec image showed a lot more detail, but unfortunately had shake, so the stars were "V"s. This one shows a bit of shake as well. My LT8 is not mounted for AP!
Still happy with what I got for a documentary type of purpose.

Here is my first attempt: 90 second unguided exposure of M8- I used an Astro-Telescopes 152mm f5.9 achromatic refractor, Losmandy G11 mount, and Kodak PJ 400 film.

I'm not new to photography but I'm as new to astrophotography as it gets. Don't have a telescope yet (research mode!). I don't know what "stacking" is (yet) but this is my first real astrophoto taken Sept 30, 2012. Canon 60D, 400mm lens on static tripod. 1/500th sec, f8, iso320. So much to learn...my adventure is just beginning.

Converted a pretty low quality webcam to fit onto my scope. Played around with it for a few minutes the other night in fairly hazy conditions. Got bunch of shots of Jupiter and the Moon. Put this together in Registax. Still a lot to learn, and tracking on the scope would be nice.

Just got started with astrophotography, here is my first attemt at m42;
Taken with a Canon 600d through a Orion spaceprobe 130 reflector. i have no automatic guiding or tracking, but by slowly turning the equatorial axis manually
i was able to get 4 second exposures with something that looks like round stars.
Stacked 5 light and dark frames taken at ISO 12800 in DSS.
