Nice clear night out tonight - tried out the Denkmeier S1 - works great. Takes quite a bit of refocus when going from the focal reducer or the X2 magnification. Wished I had purchased it sooner - well worth the cost. Used a 35mm Panoptic and a 20 mm nagler. The optics are very clear. Will be heading out again with the grandson and try the 28mm ES 68.

Bob...You will love that thing more every night you use the darn thing... BUT I sure do not go from a reduced mode directly to a barlowed view (or viceeee versee) ....
I used a Motofocus long before I purchased my Denk S1 (its the original one with levers not the buttons on the bottom)... Over time I learned when I am switching between modes I just "relax" count to 10 or 11 THEN put my eyeball down on the eyepiece and I'm usually very close to being in focus..
