Full Moon Aligned with Jupiter & Aldebaran - 11/28
      #5540337 - 11/26/12 01:43 PM

Jupiter, the Full Moon and the first magnitude star Aldebaran will form a straight line with a span of only 5 during the night of 2012 NOV 28-29. For Chicagoland observers this will occur shortly after moonrise. For observers in Belgium the trio will appear almost perfectly vertical. Jean Meeus e-mailed that he'll be watching from Brussels.

Descriptions and photos of the alignment would be welcome additions to this thread.

Below is a link my photo of Jupiter, the Full Moon and Aldebaran in a straight line this evening. I had to overexpose the Moon to get Aldebaran to print. It was taken from Arlington Heights, Illinois on 2012 NOV 28 at 17:06 CST, which was 44 minutes after sunset and 30 minutes after moonrise.

It was an incredible sight from the DC area. Must have been very dry, as the moon just popped even with naked eye. Didn't get a chance to pull the scope out, unfortunately.
