I stopped for gas in AZ Saturday around Ash Fork AZ, west of Flagstaff. As I was getting back on the 40 I saw a guy walking his dog and carrying a rather long old brass refractor on his shoulder.
Just thought it'd be worth posting it and see if it was someone here.

Well, I just wouldn't be able to do that! I probably would have made some smart a## comment about the dog taking his scope out and making the human carry it to break the ice and start an conversation. I've found that I have nowhere to be in such a hurry that I can't take the time to at least acknowledge another astronomer/stargazer, there seem to be so few of us percentage-wise.
