Use Registax to stack and PS for levels, crop the picture to be able to see Jupiter.
Hope you all like it

Aboy, the camera I use in this shot is the Canon 1000D with an adpater for the Nikkor, they match like a perfect couple this is my favorite lense, you will find alot of information regarding this lense for AP, the good think is that you can mix in some way Canon with Nikon.

That's nice to hear about canon an nikkor works together... I do have 2 Nikon cameras and one canon in the way ( the one I'll mod ) I do have 6 lenses all nikkor.

Aboy, this information will be useful for you, the adapter I use for the Nikkor lenses is the Fotodiox Pro Lens Adapter (Nikon Lens to Canon EOS Camera) Nikon-EOS
I bought it in Amazon.com
You will enjoy the Canon alot specially if you modded and if you use the Nikkor lenses is a plus
Let me know if you need any other info.

Es un gusto conocerte Aboy :0)

Fantastic! What to do/expect to take in picture in sky at full moon!

I like this lens too! I expect to buy one soon
How much did you pay? I seen those one for Fotodiox or Arriflex cameras, but it is better to have the f mount? (I already own a nikon adapter, (and a tons of more)

My cheapo 200mm F3.5 lens have too much chromatic aberrations, I must close to F5.6 or 6.8 to have good result!

Hi LeCarl
Thank you for your kind words.
I bought this lens to an Astromart member that not just sell me the lens but also help me with a bunch of questions than I have, he still mentoring me. His AP pictures are gorgeous, but he don't share his work so often.
You can find this lenses between 200 - 600+ it depends of the conditions, mine is an old one in great shape, like a good wine
When I was in need of one I post in AM that I was looking one and I get mine in less than a week.
I recently reprocess a picture of M31 that I took with this beautiful lens kind like 1 hour of integration I believe that 2 o 3 more hours and I will get something really nice with it. My next project is the Horse Head with it, I saw last week a CN guy publish one beautiful picture with the same lens stop it at f3 I guess...

M31 Nikkor 180mm

That first shot with a added crop of the last one would be cool but all very good work , love that lens.

AH! fall in love with this lens!
(before owning one of those) Yes, good old manual ones
(Those lenses are not cheap!!! )

You may need to step this down to F3.5 as VMSGUY say:
http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/5541075/page...

Maybe F4 for perfect field, but at F3.5 it's really good!

I didn't think about step down ring, this is a good idea, aperture make stars look... good? but not as APO do or S/C do, (I like 4 vanes diffraction spikes but not 6-8 trails, it is too much, I loose a lot of details)
