The official word from Kasai, shared with dealers late yesterday, is as follows: "Although it took time to settle down the production arrangement, everything seems to be going smoothly now. Following Orthos will be available middle of December - OR5/OR7/OR9/OR12. OR6/OR18 will be available sometime next year. All APs except 05 are available. AP05 will be next year. So please stop accepting order for OR6, OR18 and AP05 for a while. EWV32 is now available. But no KASAI name printed on eyepiece. " Please note that the above is independent of what we or other Kasai dealers might have in stock now or in the near future. Production has ended, and what we and other dealers around the world have left are the last of this clan. This news came out a couple of weeks ago, and there's been a big run-up on these in Japan, pretty much wiping out our chances of getting more. I am really kicking myself for not buying one of those and the matching 25mm. I wonder what I could get for my 40mm I bought so many years ago.... But nowadays with better cheaper choices like my 36mm Hyperion, or an ES30, or others, that Kasai 32mm just isn't as appealing. Kicking myself on selling that one. The 16mm UO Konig was a sweet little eyepiece, you also rarely see them come up for sale. I got a 18 Kasai HC from OPT a few weeks ago. While it is in all other reguards a very nice eyepiece it has a odd spot on axis when barlowed issue and will be going back. It's the Circle-T (Tani) volcano tops that are no longer being produced.
