Hi all! Here my contribution from Argentina, this was taken back in 2010 with an ETX-125EC and the SPC900, my best so far but I hope start shooting again soon, now with my new C8.

Cheers!!

Esteban

Great capture Esteban! That ETX 125 did very well for you. I remember imaging Jupiter with my SW100ED during that apparition and capturing the reemergence of the belt. Thanks for sharing

Clear Skies,
Brian

Thanks guys for your comments, I was really surprised by the ETX optics under good seeing, it is an incredible planetary imaging starter equipment on budget.

Darryl, indeed the image is quite yellowish, it would benefit from some further processing... I am on the learning curve!!

Cheers!

Esteban

First decent shot of Jupiter. Had to get up at 1AM on the only clear night in the last few weeks.

Orion 127mm Mak, Omni 2x Barlow, T4i + Magic Lantern for movie crop mode. ~4000 frames. Seeing was still only average at best.

I'm sure I can get better results - just not sure if it's only the poor seeing, or if the barlow, or imprecise focusing is holding me back.

BKBrown I was using a DMK 21AU04AS black and white with Astronomik Type 2C filters. Thank you for the appreciations. Seeing was above average, but was not perfect at all.

Cool image Evan, looks like you pulled one out despite less-than-good seeing conditions What is your focusing arrangement? Do you have really fine focus control?

Clear Skies, Brian
