Hi all! I am looking for help with my warm room interior. I would like the walls to be very cozy and pleasing. I plan on going with 1x8x12 tongue & groove pine boards from Lowes which I will apply a light colored stain:

I also plan on semi-plush carpet. I found an IN-THE-WALL 1500W space heater which fits between the wall studs. And finally I will put a small 1' x 2' stained glass panel on a side wall for nice lighting. Seriously.
So any different ideas for the walls and ceiling? Something rich and warm feeling? Thanks!
PS: The warm room and other telescope room are both 8x10' big.

More interior... all of that junk in there will be removed and the makeshift table in front of the windows will be removed. It's actually a decent amount of room.

And finally ready for the walls and ceiling. Everything from the floors to the ceiling will be insulated. The floors already have rigid foam between the floor joists.

Oh yeah, here is a link to the space heater. They come in chrome and other colors as well.

I'm also doing a warm room interior, and had considered the T&G pine from lowes, but that was more money than I could justify. While @ lowes looking for options, I found something that was very inexpensive, but still real hardwood, and it looked better than regular plywood. You may have seen it in my recent post?
The panels are 4'x 8', and were only $12 each. Even at that price is still cost over $200 to do the warm room, and main OB. I highly recomend the product, but beware that it does not stain well. You have to poly it as is. I do think the T&G is a nicer option if your willing to spend that much money.

I will check it out on my next trip. The pine boards I found would cost 27 x $12 = $320 plus the stain and nails or glue.

#1 Check prices from a local lumber yard, the big box stores charge a premium. #2 Ask about lower cost alternatives, here in the PNW Spruce T&G is about 1/3 the cost of pine and most people can't tell the difference. There might be a local lumber that can be had at a discount that the box stores won't carry!
