Man, I have to reattach my jaw to my face.

That's stunning, and quite possibly one of the best - if not the best - sketch of M42 I can remember seeing. I love the delicate color and the intricate detail. Superb.

Simply stunning. I have never seen M42 through a scope that large, but I am blown away by the colors! Beautiful scope, too.

Very very impressive sketch, just like a photo. It remember when I see M42 in a dark sky. Beautiful rendition, very realistic. Impressive telescope too, same as my friend.

Thanks all of you. Very warm words. I will show other sketches. Weather in Poland at autumn is very poor so I don't have many ocasions to watch. I had just 5 nights good for watching since premiere of my Pablitus 22" in september. Telescope givs stunnig views because of high presision optics. Lambda 1/18 RMS is amazing result in f-3,75 mirror. Also build and finish is exelent. I couldn,t belive my friend made this by him self.

Wonderful painting of M42/43! I'm curious if you painted it right at the eyepiece or if you made sketches that you then turned into the painting - I'd be very interested to know more about your technique.

Thank You. Of course second option. I've made pencil drawings directly from eyepiece and than turned to painting at home. But it is hard to belive in real was much more detail. I could have this aperture just for M42 . It's so dramatic.

Max, you are wrong. Mirror's accuracy is 1/18L but it's PV on the surface not RMS. It's PV on wavefront is 1/9L. I know what mirrors I receive from my source
