I just purchased the SkyQ Link WiFi Adapter:
http://www.celestron.com/astronomy/skyq-link.html
Very nice wireless remote access!....However I'd like to know if I can complete the alignment process using the hand control (two-star align, callibration stars, polar align) FIRST and then use the SkyQ Link WiFi Adapter for the rest of the imaging session.....

Are You using an IPad or something if so You can do the alignment with the sky q app and link so no hand controler needed.

I am using a laptop with the NexStar virtual hand control. It is more convient to use the hand control for the initial set-up. I am wondering if it is possible to use the hand control and then the SkyQ Link WiFi Adapter for the rest of the secession.

My SkyQ just showed up in the mail yesterday so I haven't had a chance to try it out. But my guess is that since it interacts with Nexremote it's the same story as using Nexremote wired with a serial port- you can only use the position buttons on the HC, none of the others. The computer is making all the calculations that the HC normally makes, and the calculated data is not shared between the "PCHC" and the "HC"so to speak. So....no. It looks like the SkyQ dongle is only decoding the serial data out of the wifi packets and passing the serial commands onto the telescope.
