Hello,
I wonder that I have never seen here a comment about the Tasco 17V, 18V and 19V refractors.
Here i germany they were sold very seldom during the years 1980-1985 (?).
Indeed they were the refractors from the Vixen line during these years.
So Tasco 17V was the same as the Vixen 80/1200 mm FH.
Tasco 18 V was the Vixen 90/1300 mm and the Tasco 19V was ther very seldom Vixen 100/1500. They have indeed the same mounts like the New Polaris and the Tasco 19V has the Vixen Sensor !
I guess these Tasco labeled Vixen refractors are extremly rare !?
Does anyone here own such a refractor ?
I have an old catalogue with these refractors, but I guess its not allowed to post pictures from this catalogue here ??
Has anyone an idea where can I ask for permission to use this pictures from the 1984 catalogue ( Tasco / Vixen ?? )
Kind regards, Michael

Aaron, I like those early 1980s Vixen telescopes.
The Vixen 80L 90L and 102L seem to be quite uncommon to rare. Outside of Japan anyways and maybe there too. I don't think any of these 'scopes were sold in the US with the Tasco brand. Any of them could have been purchased in Germany by someone in the military and brought back.I don't know if they were imported here in small quantities as Vixens.
Someone posted here who found a Tasco 16V at a garage sale. That is a Newtonian on the Sensor mount (I see you have one). Is the 102L/19V on the Titan mount?
I'd just be happy to find a Vixen FL55-S. It would make a nice guide scope for my R100S

Hello,
I thought I had send a catalogue to Robert Provin but was wrong. I did it now !
Yes most of the scopes in this Tasco 1984 catalogue I have here, are Vixen scopes and were sold under the Tasco label.
You can find often a Vixen 80L ( 80/1200 ) here, but I have never seen the 80L under the label "Tasco 17V" here !
Seems to be that these Tasco-labeled Vixen scope a very very rare....
Here ius a picture.
This morning ( here in germany ) I have sent the catalogue to Robert, maybe he will publish it on his wonderful site !
The 100 mm refractor has the marvelous and rare Vixen Sensor mount !
