Need help with PHD and QHY5
      #5562611 - 12/09/12 03:04 PM

Got a new laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. Downloaded the latest version of PHD (1.14.0),QHY5 drivers and ASCOM 6 SP1. Also downloaded QGvideo. PHD starts up fine. Click on Mount and specify on camera. Try to connect to QHY5 as ASCOM (Late) Camera but no go. It comes up with the camera chooser but there is no camera listed. the only options are camera V2 simulator and simulator. Tried CCD labs Q-Guider and it says no camera. Tried QHY5-II and it says no camera. QGvideo works fine so I guess the cable and USB port are fine. This is a USB2 port on the computer. There is a usb3 port but I didn't try it. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you install an ASCOM driver for the camera?

I don't remember having to do that with the old computer. If needed where can I get it?

I went to the ASCOM site to download camera drivers and none is listed for the QHY5. There is one for the Orion Star Shoot Family. I believe that uses the QHY5. Will it work?

Finally found the QHY5 Ascom driver. Installed it and everything is fine. Thank you Charlie B for helping out.
