My Christmas present was stolen when some thief intercepted my mail.  'Tis the season for thieves. At least Agena Astro was nice enough to send another one at manufacturer cost.

Don't be quick to judge, in my religion we say some assumptions are sin (i.e. you might be getting demerits for thinking false negative thoughts of people). Postal services sometimes go wrong. Somebody recently posted here on cloudy nights how he had received somebody elses tripod from Germany by mistake and he had to investigate for some time till he found the rightful owner of the tripod. It was a nice piece of gear too, he could have kept quiet and kept it for himself.

Glad it worked out. However, don't be surprised if your original order turns up. Shippers are swamped this time of year and someone may have made a mistake.

UPS once delivered a package for me on the next street. As I was in the process of contacting vendor, my kid walked in with it. He said a guy on the next street brought it over. Driver was probably relying on GPS and didn't bother to read street signs.
