Please find here my morning watercolour. Dec 11th 6:00 UT.
It was quite hot this morning -1°C plus Mistral (north local wind)... "Hot" in comparison with the André usual observing temperatures...
Anyway I would like to see again the rising of Mercury from my terrace.
Bottom-up we can see: Mercury near the chimney and Venus close to the Moon.
The watercolour was done on the spot. After the blue wash, I take off the pigment for the planets with a brush when the paper was not yet dry. I add some hot coloration to the dark part of the very old Moon. Then I scanned the picture, for you.
Just under the Moon we can see the ruines of the old castle of Rocbaron.
The clouds are there just to animate the picture,... in fact, no clouds were present this morning.
Clear sky to you all ! Michel

Oh, yea, now that's sweet, Michel. That cool winter morning feel makes me want to pick up the morning paper and put on some coffee. Light up a cigarette and sh....ave.

Oh boy. What a nice sketch. You all know how I like that kind of sketches. This one is my favorite at all. Really beautiful. Congratulation. So fine details as the antenna. Very good and realistic.
Andre.

I looooooooooooove water colours! This sketch is pure art! Your work is one of the reasons why I sometimes prefer sketch over a photograph: you can add atmosphere and emotion.
Thanks for posting!

Michel, I love these sky & landscape renderings! Working in water colors in cold conditions is a challenge (to say the least). This is a fantastic image
