TAL 150P 150mm f/5 Parabolic Newtonian with Mount and Pillar
Manufactured to very high standards of optical and mechanical engineering, the TAL 150 P combines both excellent optical performance together with an extremely robust and thoughtfully designed mechanical layout. Delightfully smooth slow-motion controls make tracking a pleasure. A rock-steady pedestal stand ensures complete operating stability, superior to that of any tripod.
An incredible package with an unequalled combination of performance, value and equipment levels than any rival telescope of this size. The included adapter to T2 allows to screw in a glasspass corrector and so the using of an binoviewer!

The TAL MT1C Mount is a very sturdy mount with a high capacity in its class. The column garants for a minimum of vibration and a stress free observing, without fear to bump always the tripod legs. The mount has a fine adjustment in both axes. The polar hight will be adjusted by a worm segment, so its possible to adjust the mount very exact. The polar hight adjustment has a very solid clamp. The mount is equipped with steel/brass bearings in both axes for a maximum precision and smoothness.

It looks like the secondary might be a bit tricky to adjust, but everything else on this scope looks very well engineered. It's nice to see someone still making scopes with good, usable setting circles.

Looks to be an absolutely wonderful, entry level scope with a good GEM; or maybe even a good grab and go. And glad to see a pier again at this price, instead of the cheap aluminum tripods.

The TAL Telescopes from Russia are for me like the Zeiss Telescopes from Jena, highest quality of all components, but easy and simple and robust, made for live time use .
No fancy electronics which can brake :-)

Perhaps old fashioned, but will last many lifetimes. Mine get constant use.

Very common in the UK, totoally bomb proof, fine optics and the accessories are usually good to excellent unlike a lot of kit where the accessories are junk. Not exciting, no flashy gizmos but well made and solid as a tank. Good to see TAL getting a US presence, they have a dollowing in the UK.

The astronomy club that I used to belong to had one of these in the loaner scope group, and it was a fine performer. The last borrower must have really liked it, because we never saw him or the telescope again.

The TAL makes observing easy, no waste of time on fancy electronics, the only thing you cna do :look through the eyepiece and enjoy :-)
