Does anyone know where to get replacement O-rings for the common 6x30 finderscopes? I need to replace a broken one, and the auto parts store's O-rings are too thick.
Also, does anyone sell replacement holders that have the spring button and two adjustment screws at 90 degrees apart? Th current holder I have is the old style with three screws placed every 120 degrees.
Thanks!

Try the plumbing department at a well-stocked hardware store.

Thanks, guys. I'm going to try Ace, Lowe's, and a local plumbing store. If I come up empty, I'll try Agena Astro. I've used them before and have been well satisfied.

My ACE Hardware had the correct one. Take your scope and mount with you!

I found an O-ring that works! At Ace, in the metric O-ring drawers, I found the part # ORM-204-026 at a cost of $1.39. It's a 26mm inside diameter O-ring, 2mm thick. I tried it there in the store on my 6x30 finder and it works perfectly, including fitting into the finder bracket. I tried a slightly larger inside diameter O-ring, but there wasn't enough tension to keep the O-ring in place when I tried to slip the finder bracket over the O-ring. If you have a broken or missing O-ring on your 6x30 Synta finder, this works great!

Good to know the metric version.
I grabbed the SAE version at ACE Hardware for $0.57. It is -026 size, 1/16" width, ID=1.25", OD=1.375".
ScopeStuff and Agena Astro have o-rings for 50mm finders only.
