Marco Guidi has made other versions ( http://forum.astrofili.org/download/file.php?id=44796&mode=view ), and I believe we can process the image even further better. Hi again Mauro & Marco.....would I be correct in suspecting that you aligned the rgb channels on the limb and not those details on/in the disk..? I hope I'm not being too picky but I think the images would benefit by a slight adjustment in the red channel's x&y shifts.....but regardless, as I said, excellent images..! I use an optimization technique that spans a three-parameter space of PSF functions. The "best" PSF is returned. U am still working on the optimization criterion (ie what is "best"). Sometimes the best psf is close to a gaussian psf with FWHM slightly greater that the theoretical fwhm of the optic. In this case it is 0.35". With this hint one may attempt a classical deconvolution with a PSF that size (you must convert in pixels) and the use some contrast enhacement. One may try sevral PSF radiuses in the vicinity of the above. I think I have improved.
