Yellowstone NP Star Parties Jn14,15 Jl12,13 Ag9,10
      #5578981 - 12/19/12 01:58 PM

Our Astronomy Club, SMAS, here in Bozeman, MT (SMASWEB.ORG) holds star parties at the Madison Campground in Yellowstone NP annually, this year 2013 we going to be there Jun 14&15, Jul 12&13, and Aug 9&10. See for details. This will be our 16th year doing this and has not been well publicized. Our club's primary scopes are a 20" Starsplitter Dob, 12" LX200, 13" Coulter truss conversion, and numerous member scopes. Usually 150-250 people per night from the public attend and clear out by 12:30, then members get a few hours of "serious" observation in. We do solar viewing during the day Saturday next to Old Faithful.
