That's a good looking transit.
We've got new equipment here over the last couple of weeks, and I'm hoping to be all set up fairly soon, so that we start doing transits fairly regularily again here. I've stepped up from the C8 to a 12 inch RC, so thinking I should be able to get better results than we did in the past, and our results in the past were pretty decent.

What a coincidence, I have done the same observation a while ago on the same planet.

What software is used to put the data together. Is there free or not expensive software?

The light curves above are from ETD - exoplanet transit database website, part of TRESCA (linked in the original post). The actual photometry can be carried out is lots of software packages from expensive (Maxim DL or Mira) to free (MuniWin). Analysis of the data can be done for free by ETD - awesome site.

I'm having a tough time looking at the Transit times for Qatar-1b. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area in California which should give me a Long. of N122 and Lat. W37. The second observable time for Qatar 1b for me says it is: 2456282.388 20.12 20:30(17,N) 20.12 21:18(20,N) 20.12 22:07(23,NE), which if those times are in UTC that would put it during daylight for me.

Hey Nick, your coordinates are the wrong format for ETD. Your longitude (Eastern) is 238 (360-122) and your latitude is (N)37.
Elongitude used in ETD starts at prime meridian (0) and goes East from there to 360 - all positive, not West negative to -180 and East positive to +180

Thanks for the fix. I was wondering what the Elong. standed for.
