Capacity of the Meade LX80 mount & tripod

Will the Meade LX80 Multi-Mount and Tripod adequately support an Explore Scientific 127mm f/7.5 ED triplet carbon fiber refractor telescope? I will be doing mostly visual, but would like to move more into astrophotography and hope that I can get satisfactory performance from the LX80 combined with the ES 127.
If you have a better mount recommendation for the ES127, please pass along your suggestions.

In my limited experience (with Jack Huerkamp's mount)? A C8 is a good match. More than that? Depends on your needs and what you are willing to put up with and whether you are in alt-az or GEM mode (alt-az is more stable)...

I had a ES127CF and a ES102APO both on my LX80 in Alt/Az, worked well,
scopes settled down in 2-3 seconds, it tracked well, scopes jiggled minimally and motors didn't strain when slewing. For AP the jury is still out on this. There is another owner who is going to try doing AP with it at: http://www.astronomyforum.net/telescope-mounts-forum/150502-lx80-multi-mount-...
I haven't tried AP yet, having too much fun with visual and will have to go to an area with darker skies and go through the learning curve of setting up for AP, before I even try it. Right now AP isn't a priority.
So yeah, I am happy with my LX-80.

Scope Head,
I love the LX80 so far. Not sure I'm smart enough to get into AP but that is still a question on this mount. For visual I've used a 180mm Mak and a 100mm f/5 refractor each with a wide field 80mm refractor piggybacked. Works fine for visual and dampening time is not excessive. A CG5, for a bit less money, or a CGEM, for a bit more, may be a better bet if you are serious about AP.
