Hi, I'm in search of a carrying case for CGEM DX mount and I realized that Pelican Storm case seems a good candidiate from the past threads. For those of you using Pelican Storm(any models) with CGEM/CGEM DX, could you post a pic that shows how the fitting goes ?
I have seen some pics of CGEMs in Peli Storm, but the axis was rotated to make it fit in the case. Is there anyone who places the mount in the case w/o rotating the axis, and if so, what case do you use ?
Appreciate your inputs.

There are Pelican cases that can hold the original foam that the mount came in (I think it is the 1650). However, by turning the axis, you can use a smaller case and the mount is a bit easier to pick up with the axis turned. In addition, if you do not use the original packing foam, you can lay the mount out so that the axis locks are facing up rather than down.

My CGEM fits in a #1600 when the axis is rotated.
