This is the Cosmic-Wedgie I have built for use with the iOptron Mini Tower with my C-8 HD. This is the second mod to the basic wedge and it includes precision azimuth and altitude adjustments with locks. It is made with three, 3/4" aluminum plates and stainless steel bolts. I use the OTA as the polar alignment scope and the results have been fantastic. I have been using this set-up and its predecessors for over a year and the astrophotography has been outstanding taking single shots with with a Canon S95 and the Baader EPs. I have made a handful for friends and associates who wanted to convert their AA systems to EQ. There are attachment holes for Meade and Celestron tripods and mounts. My set-up weighs 53 lb. and I have had a 75 lb. Meade 8" mounted on it. The CG is well under control, but I do hang my battery pack on the back of the tripod for added stability. I was told iOptron mount was not supposed to work in EQ mode, but it does just fine in EQ mode, which is included with the controller. My Mini Tower has modified bearings, clutches and springs, which I strongly recommend. If there is enough interest, I will form a company and make more. The set-up you see is a sweet, easy to use system. From the time I open my garage door, I am taking my first photo in 10 min. If I set it up in the same location with respect to True North, I do not have to repeat the polar alignment (including going to star local star parties). Polar alignments will vary with OTA and mount.
I have only been enjoying astronomy for four years and my first scope was an ETX-90, which taught me to love EQ mode. It also showed me that it was possible to switch between AA and EQ without removing equipment. That is what my goal was here. You can go from zero deg. to 90 deg. without removing anything. This is a portable system with no component over 25 lb. and you can take it from the equator to either pole and use up to a C-11 OTA with the iOptron mount.
Contact me if you are interested in how I do the polar alignment and get such repeatable results. I might be missing something here, but the results speak for themselves.
Comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Never a good idea to under-mount your cat.

The cat-weight adds stability. That is an extra cost option I guess.

This is my Takahashi TSA-102 on my Vixen GP-DX mount with a Stellarvue R/A 50mm Finder Scope and Telrad. Feathertouch Focuser, Vixen Tube rings and AP Maxibrite diagonal and Camera Angle Adjuster. This is really a very sweet lightweight jewel of a set up and rock solid at all magnifications the scope is capable of achieving.

Here is my new Orion Skyview Pro with Truetrack motor drive upgrade. Tossed out the 6v 4D cell pack (from 1975, when orion started I think!) for a 5V USB 1A portable power source. Cleaned up the spagetti wiring and sheathed and groomed everything. made some custom mounts out of some metal maglight flashlight holders I had for the controller and power pack. Also improved the RA motor mount so there is no play or backlash in the gear train or the motor mount itself. Not a bad beginner's mount for under $500. Got the Celestron C6 SCT on craigslist for $200!

compared to some of the excellent work displayed here, my stuff looks prehistoric, even though it has not had its finishing effects done to it. this is the rudimentary version of my homemade 6" pier at 48" tall with a CGE on top. I made the legs of iron because I do not have a mig welder , but I do have a crackerbox. full weight is 85lbs and VERY solid!
