Howdy folks. This is my first post on this website, but i havebeen following it for awhile. I learned alot on here so i would like to say thanks. I purchased this mount and tripod on clearance from orion with a gift certificate and only ended up paying 72 bucks for it. For what its worth, for my pronto, its very stable and easy to use. Im up at eielson afb in alaska and havefound out that eq mounts dont work very well in -40. So for an easy to use grab and go set up this is perfect. Once again, thanks for all the info and advice even if you didntknow you were giving it to me. Kelly

Welcome to the CN forums. . It is indeed a great place with a lot of wonderful people. I, too, have learned a lot from the members here. They are very generous with their knowledge.
Congratulations on your new mount and have fun.
Best, Linda B.

Humans don't work well in -40 much less most telescope mounts. It's not usually the type of mount that makes the difference but instead the lubricant used in the mount when it comes to low temperatures.
Welcome to CN.
