I shot this target, which it is probably the last one for the nexts 2/3 months, yesterday night.
Tomorrow I'll coming back to Brasil where it is starting the heavy rain season.

It is a sum of 15 frames each of 10 minutes at 800ISO from a urban - but not so bad - sky (Cuneo, Italy).

The overall stream of image processing has been done with P.I.

Best Regards,
RC

Thanks a lot, Carlo.

I have discovered, with 90% of certainty, which is the root cause for these annoying halos: the Baader filter.
Probabily its poor quality and a not right set up is creating reflex for the brightest objects.

Anyway the Takahashi FS60C is a real jewel. I like it a lot.

Best Regards,
RC

RC,

I'll repeat what I said in another thread, beautiful image!

AstroBin is showing a 404 for it now. I hope that's just a glitch on their part and that you didn't pull it offline. Don't let the troll voters win.

Dave

I was thinking positively about the mark 2 I got.
Is there a possibility of improving my processing?
May I post you the stacked file from PI?
Thanks

I made a last processing try to mask as much as possible the brightest stars in order to reduce the halos.

Nice work Roberto,

The only positive way of thinking about 2 stars is not to think about them at all.

Mark

Very nice, Roberto. As Mark says - ignore the ratings. There are too many who always put 1 or 2 stars on everything they see. You will get better feedback from this forum.

At the end of the story I think that even extremely severe comments are good for improving. If you look at my last elaboration is much better than the first one (which unfortunately has been canceled).

Best Regards,
RC
