I have been looking for a used Celestron CPC heavy duty tripod for my Nexstar 8se. I have seen that other 8se owners have done this to improve stability. Does anyone know if the Celestron Nexstar 11 tripod has the same hole size, spacing etc. as the CPC tripod, and should thus fit the 8se? Thanks.

I believe it should fit with no problems. Some later Nexstar GPS scopes were shipped with the CPC style tripod.

The Nexstar GPS forks use the same hole pattern as the one armed N4, 5, 6, & 8.

Thanks for the info cn register 5 and Geo. Do you know if the Nexstar GPS fork model tripods are about as stable and sturdy as the CPC tripods? Thanks.
