Far of the quality of Andre sun sketches, I post here my last one.
Sketched today 30th Dec. 2012, 12h25 UT, close to the meridian passage. My Lunt is the smallest one: 35T Ha with B600. The small blue spots represent Earth (same scale).

Michel.
Good one my friend. Nice fine details. You can see quite interesting things with your small Lunt.
May I ask you a favor. On first, when I started to post my sun sketches, I was naming them as an example, October 15th sun but someone else posted with the same name so I changed the name of ALL my previous sketches by adding sketch at the end as October 15th sun sketch. But now you arrive with the same formula so that may be confusing no ? Now its too late for me to change the name of my previous sketches, I can't no more edit them. Maybe you can add Michel December 30th sun sketch ? Or December 30th sun sketch from France ? Just a little thing to make it different name as me.
Andre.

Ok André, sorry for the confusion, I adapt the subject name (not the sketch ).

Thank you so much Michel for your understanding. Much better this way.
I caught the full disc too, we would be able to compare. I'll post it tomorrow as now I don't have time to treat it before that. Holiday party.

Fine sketches. I read in Astronomie Magazine that you sometimes work with green pastel on white paper (and invert it after scanning). How this one was sketched (the paper looks light pink on my screen)?

Very nice sketches, and I like the way you include our planet for scale. I find it interesting that the sun spot in the full sun sketch appears to be larger than planet Earth. Most people don't realize how massive our sun is.
I also noticed the very light pink background color. It's no big deal and I actually like it.

Hi Jef
Thanks for your comments
Yes indeed sometime I sketch with watercolour, in this case to have a black sky I have to invert and then, artificially I draw in green. For more clarification look at my French page :
http://astro.aquarellia.com/doc/DocS1.pdf
So, to make this last sketch, I just draw with HB pencil and common drawing tools. After scanning I adapt the sketch playing with the R of the RGB adjustment. I use Paint.net. I feel that keeping a non black background is better to keep the original drawing contrast.
To compare here is my original :

Michel, very nice. You have put some good attention to the placement of the proms. I also enjoy how you've added the magnified detail of the single large prom. Nice work.

I agree with Michel, your nature pictures are so beautiful. Nice composition. I appreciate because I'm myself a big nature amateur photograph.
