You told me I'm good at sketching the sun, but let me tell you this sketch of the Pleiades is simply jaw dropping ! ! ! I just can't believe it's a sketch. Totally beautiful. There is no need filters for these nebulae of dust, UHC or OIII not work because it is not ionized gas. We just need a clear transparent sky and an optic wich does not diffuse the light of the brighest star too. With Paint Shop Pro software I do an inversion for the black background, I touch the brightness and shape of certain stars that I have not been able to do well round with the pencil, and I erase the pencil stroke too strong (to make my nebulae more smooth). This is a lot of work but the result is a more realistic that a pencil drawing crude.
